Hondarribia: history and gourmet tasting at sea
(Price VAT included)
Can you imagine sailing through unique landscapes, discovering the history of Hondarribia and tasting the best of the sea… all in the same experience? Now you can make it happen with this exclusive route for small groups, where history, nature and gastronomy come together on board our boat.
*The route may be adjusted depending on weather conditions and sea state. In the event of unfavourable conditions, the tour will take place entirely within the bay, reaching as far as the Santiago International Bridge, which connects Irún with Hendaye (France) across the River Bidasoa, whilst avoiding sailing out to the open sea and around coves and islands. This change will always be made in accordance with safety criteria, with the aim of ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all passengers. Passengers will be informed of any changes to the route before the trip begins.
We start with our sea crossing, where you will get to know the most emblematic corners of Hondarribia, its coast and its fishing heritage from a privileged perspective, thanks to an audio guide that will surprise you with unknown stories, anecdotes, historical data and curiosities that will make you see the landscape with different eyes. Discover a new way of connecting with the essence of the place.
During the tour, we’ll sail alongside the active fishing boats, a unique opportunity to get a close-up look at the seafaring atmosphere that still defines the city’s identity today. Afterwards, we’ll anchor in a peaceful setting to enjoy a gourmet tasting of local produce.
In a relaxed and authentic atmosphere, you will savour a careful selection of seafood caught by the boats of the Done Pedro Itsas Gizonen Kofradia Guild, accompanied by organic cider with designation of origin from Ola Sagardotegia, made exclusively with apples from Gipuzkoa.
An experience for the senses, in direct contact with our roots and designed for those who are looking for much more than a boat trip: An unforgettable, local, tasty and 100% authentic experience.
